"Resilience is often taken to mean “bouncing back”. That is, of course, fervently to be hoped for when it comes to individuals [...]

But when it comes to essential infrastructure, bouncing back is not enough. At a recent resilience event, the talk was of “bouncing forward” – not just rebuilding the status quo, but future-proofing at the same time. For example, we might formalise the ad hoc use of social media to offer succour."

Two members of our research laboratory have presented at the 1st GÉANT Testbed Service (GTS) workshop in Copenhagen, Denmark. Simon Jouet has talked about the next steps in programmable data plane, while Richard Cziva talked about the challenges and opportunities of container-based Network Function Virtualization (NFV). We thank the GTS team for inviting us.

Following a proposal with the Federal Aviation Administration and the Office of Global Naval Research, we are delighted to announce we will be commencing an international collaboration in late October 2015.
