INNOVATE aims to offer a high quality scientific and professional fellowship, hosted at the University of Glasgow and coordinated by Dr Christos Anagnostopoulos, that will improve the research and professional skills of the successful Research Fellow. University of Glasgow will expand its networks and knowledge transfer through cooperation with Repado Ltd (Switzerland) and inCITES SARL (Luxembourg) as industrial secondments (partners) during the fellowship. Repado manages large-scale medical data coming from bio-medical robots/devices installed in healthcare facilities incl. hospitals, clinics, and laboratories involving remote interaction with geo-distributed services in private and public health sector. inCITES consulting is specialized in techno-economic analyses for business sustainability.
This collaborative ‘grid’ will benefit the Fellow and University of Glasgow, as the industry partners provide their expertise and resources in the novel research activities of the fellowship. The Research Fellow under the supervision of Dr Anagnostopoulos, will act in two real industrial working environments in completely different domains, while the SMEs will gain benefits from the INNOVATE outcomes/scientific dissemination. The fellowship team will investigate the business aspects and impact of the research outcome in real-time management and predictive analytics in the bio-medical market analysing and forecasting methodologies to assess policy options and their implications. The fellowship will be further supported through high quality training activities/CDP provided by University of Glasgow aimed at designing a high quality framework close to the needs of the considered market. Techno-economic analysis will investigate the exploitation of INNOVATE outcomes and the derivation of means for the sustainability of a useful product.
The outcome will lead in the efficient management and knowledge extraction over large-scale data streams in various application domains incl. telecommunications, risk analysis, and health analytics. INNOVATE is expected to design/introduce/build intelligent applications that will provide analytics in (near) real time, thus, supporting bio-medical, geo-distributed applications over large-scale data streams. Repado, in accordance to the G2M strategy and the INNOVATE’s evolution plan, will explore the possibility of adapting the INNOVATIVE outcomes into their platform. The developed methodology will establish the basis for timely, high quality services that will increase end users’ satisfaction and improve quality of living.
